Previously published in Paradox. Serinder, the Shaman, has long kept the loggers safe from the man-eating tigers of the Sundarbans, but times change. He must placate the loggers with their steady hunger for teak and the Gods of the Sundarban swamps.
In the Sundarban Swamps of southern India, when man-eating tigers threaten the teak loggers, Serinder, the shaman, protects them through his talisman gift from the goddess Bonobibi. But in the face of man’s never-ending greed, it may take more than a talisman to placate the gods.
